Today was the final day of my trip. I decided to take it easy and relax. I had read about the water puppet show and wanted to check that out. However, sadly it wasn’t happening at the time I went to the theater. Instead, I decided to watch a movie at the cinemas, which was a pleasant change from all the sightseeing I had done in the past two weeks.
I took a bus to the Vincom Centre, which is a mall with a multiplex. I watched the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is a spin off of the book by the same name written by J. K. Rowling. The movie was fantastic too.
After some window shopping at the mall, I went back to the Old Quarter. I did some last minute shopping for my family – basically stuff which I wouldn’t get in India. Bought some Vietnamese coffee, silk, art work and curios for my home.
After having my last supper in Hanoi with Mehdi (had Thai green curry at Thai Express next to the lake) I went back to my hostel. I finished packing my bags and went to sleep with a feeling of happiness and contentment for I was successfully concluding my longest vacation – 17 days (Day 17 will go in travelling back) covering 6 destinations across 5 countries – and without doubt a trip I will cherish for lifetime.
